Great comedy that produces laughter and happiness in your brain is, in effect, a type of science. If you love to laugh, then you won’t want to miss the interactive comedy put on by The Second City, a comedy touring group performing at Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry on September 8th.
On September 8th, guests that are twenty-one and over can attend one of two show times (7:30 PM or 8:30 PM) to experience an exclusive, one-of-a-kind comedy experience presented by comics from The Second City. Guests are invited to the museum from 7-10 PM for rounds of cocktails, beers, snacks, and also will have access to several museum exhibits closed to the public and made available only to them.
Besides watching The Second City present and perform, guests will also get to enjoy interactive comedy demonstrations and exhibits happening around the museum. If you’ve ever want to learn more about laughter, then you can get educated by comedic experts willing to help you write jokes and partake in improv exercises with you.
Some other experiences will get you active and motivated as you immerse yourself in hands-on activities. You can take a run on a human-sized hamster wheel while your heart beat is measured by a thirteen-foot tall Giant Heart. Or, you can play around with some science experiments that include learning about tornados, avalanches, and tsunamis. Over fifty fun hands-on science experiments will be made available to the public.
If you want to laugh at yourself for a while, you can partake in the 1800 square foot mirror maze exhibit, getting lost amongst your reflections while you try to find your way out of the maze. Or, you can play around with the museum’s fun flight simulator and experience the joy of flying an airplane.
General admission tickets cost $30 per person and also gain you access to free parking, snacks, a complimentary cocktail, and access to all the exhibits. For those wanting to purchase more items, a cash bar will be open to the public.
